What does BAOSONG manufacture?

BAOSONG provides custom aluminum manufacturing support across CNC machining, aluminum extrusion, die casting, metal fabrication, surface finishing and assembly-ready delivery. The suitable route depends on part geometry, material, finish, functional requirements and expected production volume.

BAOSONG supports projects for automotive and EV systems, robotics and automation, data centers and AI infrastructure, industrial equipment, renewable energy and storage, medical equipment, consumer electronics, telecommunications, aerospace, marine and architecture-related applications.

Yes. We can review early-stage requirements, support prototype and sample stages, then align tooling, process control, inspection planning and packaging with the intended production pathway.

No. A finished drawing is helpful, but an early CAD model, dimensioned sketch, reference sample, existing part or functional requirement can also be a useful starting point for an initial engineering discussion.

What information should I include in an RFQ?

For the most useful review, provide available drawings or 3D files, material preference, surface finish, critical dimensions, cosmetic requirements, expected quantity, application environment, packaging needs and any required inspection or documentation.

Yes. A sample or photo can support an initial discussion. To confirm a reliable manufacturing route and quotation, BAOSONG may need additional dimensional, material, performance, finish and quantity information.

BAOSONG can review confidentiality requirements before sensitive project information is shared. Please contact the sales team with your NDA process or documentation requirements.

Early pricing may change if the final drawing changes the material, manufacturing route, tolerance, tooling, finish, inspection method, packaging requirement or expected quantity. A clear drawing review helps reduce those changes before production begins.

Which file formats can I send?

You can share available 2D drawings, 3D CAD models, PDFs, STEP files, IGES files, DWG/DXF files or other commonly used engineering files. Please include revision information where applicable.

Yes. BAOSONG can review geometry, material selection, tolerance strategy, machining access, finish requirements, assembly interfaces and potential production considerations before release.

Design for Manufacturability, or DFM, is the review of whether a part can be produced consistently and efficiently while maintaining the dimensions, functions and finish that matter to the final product.

BAOSONG can provide manufacturing-focused recommendations for your review. You retain design authority and approve any change before it is applied to drawings, tooling or production.

Yes. Tolerance planning should match the function of the feature, the chosen material, geometry, manufacturing process, finishing route and inspection method. Not every dimension needs the tightest tolerance.

Which aluminum alloy is right for my part?

The right alloy depends on the application, strength needs, corrosion environment, machining requirements, forming or extrusion needs, surface finish and cost target. Common options may include 6063, 6061, 5052, 5754 and 7075, but final selection should be reviewed against the specific part.

6061 is often considered for parts requiring stronger structural performance and precision-machined features. 6063 is commonly used for extruded profiles and visible anodized sections where surface quality and profile efficiency are important. The final decision depends on the component and its intended use.

CNC machining is often suitable for precision features, lower-to-medium volume programs, complex post-machined geometry or requirements that may change during development. Die casting may be evaluated for parts with repeatable geometry and production volumes that justify tooling. The most suitable route depends on the whole part requirement.

Yes. Aluminum extrusions can be cut, drilled, milled, tapped, machined and finished to create profiles, frames, enclosures, rails and assembly-ready components.

Yes. Many finished components combine more than one route, such as extrusion plus CNC machining, die casting plus precision machining, fabricated structures plus coating, or machined parts plus assembly work.

05 / Samples production

Samples, tooling and production release work best when the drawing, process expectations and approval steps are clear from the beginning.

What happens after I submit a drawing?

The project typically moves through requirement communication, drawing review, confirmation of the final drawing, tooling or sample planning where needed, internal testing, sample production, quality review, customer approval and then production release.

For projects that require drawing confirmation, BAOSONG provides final drawings or agreed manufacturing information for customer review before tooling or production proceeds.

Tooling may be required for custom extrusion profiles, die-cast components or other project-specific forming routes. CNC-machined parts may not need dedicated product tooling, though fixtures or inspection aids can be considered when appropriate.

Yes. Sample production can be planned after drawing and manufacturing requirements are confirmed. Sample expectations, inspection requirements and approval criteria should be agreed before production release.

Yes. Production scale-up support can include aligning tooling, process checks, fixtures, inspection planning, protective packaging and delivery requirements with the planned volume pathway.

06 / QUALITY & DOCUMENTATION

Quality planning is most useful when critical features, inspection expectations and documentation needs are identified early in the project.

How does BAOSONG manage quality?

Quality planning is developed around the specific component, including drawing requirements, critical dimensions, material and finish requirements, process checks, final inspection and required documentation.

Material documentation can be discussed as part of the RFQ and order requirement. Please identify the required material grade, documentation format and traceability expectation before production is released.

Inspection reports can be prepared according to the agreed project requirement. Please identify critical dimensions, sampling expectations, report format and documentation requirements during the drawing review or quotation stage.

PPAP and project-specific documentation can be reviewed based on the customer’s product, industry and approval requirements. Required records, submission levels and timing should be defined early in the project.

Traceability requirements should be agreed at the beginning of a project. Where required, the production and documentation plan can be aligned around material identification, relevant records and project-defined control points.

07 / FINISHES & APPEARANCE

Visible aluminum surfaces need a finish plan that considers use environment, cosmetic zones, dimensional fit and handling after finishing.

Which surface finish is suitable for my aluminum part?

The suitable finish depends on the use environment, corrosion needs, wear, touch points, visual standard, color, gloss, texture and assembly sequence. Options can include as-machined, anodized, powder-coated, brushed, polished or project-specific finishes.

Color and appearance expectations can be reviewed against approved samples, relevant specifications or customer-defined standards. Final acceptance criteria should include the visible area, viewing condition and cosmetic limits that matter to the product.

Masking requirements can be reviewed when a part needs specific conductive areas, machined interfaces, threaded features, assembly surfaces or controlled visible zones.

Surface finishing can affect dimensions, especially on critical fits, threads, bores and mating surfaces. These features should be identified during drawing review so material removal, masking or tolerance planning can be considered before finishing.

Protection is planned around the approved finish and handling sequence. This can include fixtures, protective films, separated packaging, masking, defined handling instructions and cosmetic inspection standards.

How are finished parts packaged?

Packaging is selected around the part geometry, surface finish, weight, quantity, transport method and customer requirement. Different aluminum components may need different protective methods.

Custom packaging requirements can be discussed for cosmetic parts, fragile components, assemblies, export shipments, customer labeling or project-specific handling needs.

Shipping and logistics requirements can be discussed based on the destination, delivery method, packaging requirement, trade terms and project schedule.

Delivery timing depends on the confirmed manufacturing route, material availability, tooling status, machining complexity, finishing, inspection, packaging and order quantity. The most reliable schedule is established after requirements are confirmed.

Yes. Value engineering can review material usage, starting form, geometry, machining time, tolerance strategy, finishing route, assembly complexity and production scale while protecting the requirements that matter.
